The words of the Faenza-based team drivers ahead of the Florida weekend

Racing in Miami

Racing Bulls have collected a solid haul of 14 points in the first three races of the 2026 Formula 1 season and are just two points behind Red Bull. Audi, Williams, Cadillac and Aston Martin are still well behind in the standings, but 2026 has only just begun and after such a long break, competitive values on track can still shift significantly. Below are the comments from drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, where Racing Bulls will introduce updates to their package.

Liam Lawson: “It was positive to use the break to recharge and train. After Japan, I spent some time in New Zealand, which was really nice because it allowed me to see my family and train a lot outdoors. I also spent time in the simulator and with the team at the Faenza factory, so it was great to make the most of the time between races. I’m really excited to get back to work in Miami: it’s a place I really like and the energy and atmosphere are incredible. The team has worked hard at the factory to prepare for the Sprint weekend, so we are looking forward to getting back on track with some updates. As a team, we also have some interesting activities planned off-track this week, so I’m excited to see all the fans again in this fantastic city.”

Arvid Lindblad: “I tried to make the most of the April break, working hard with the engineers in the simulator and analysing data to maximise what we learned from the first races. I also took some time off to recharge, making sure I spent quality time with family and friends. As for Miami, it is a new circuit for me and we know that some regulation changes will come into effect this week. It is difficult to say exactly how they will be, but the FIA, Formula 1 and the GPDA have worked closely together to improve the sport where possible, and we are all grateful for that. I arrived in Miami a couple of days ago to enjoy some free time and discover the local culture before racing begins. Miami is a spectacle both on and off track, and I can’t wait to experience it. It will be an exciting Sprint weekend; we will bring upgrades and I expect other teams to do the same. There will be a lot of work to do, but after a few weeks away, I can’t wait to be back in the car.”

In summary, the Racing Bulls head into the Miami Grand Prix with high spirits and a fresh package of technical upgrades aimed at maintaining their competitive momentum. Both Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad have utilized the recent break to balance rigorous physical training with deep technical analysis in the simulator. As the 2026 season resumes with a challenging Sprint format, the Faenza team remains focused on closing the narrow gap to Red Bull while navigating the latest regulatory adjustments introduced for the Florida event.
