F1 | Isack Hadjar grounded at Monza, eliminated in Q1
Just a week ago, Isack Hadjar celebrated the first podium of his Formula 1 career at the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix, finishing in third place after a solid and consistent race. For the French rookie, this result was a major milestone, not only as his first career trophy in Formula 1 but also because it capped a weekend in which he demonstrated maturity in handling critical moments. Isack Hadjar managed to match the pace of more experienced drivers, defended his position without mistakes, and delivered a result for Racing Bulls that the team had not achieved in some time.
Monza presents a different challenge
At Monza, however, the scenario was very different. During qualifying for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix, Isack Hadjar was eliminated in Q1, failing to progress to the next stage. His teammate Liam Lawson experienced the same outcome, with both Racing Bulls cars stopped at the first cut. Within just a few days, Isack Hadjar went from achieving the most prestigious result of his young career to facing a weekend full of challenges.
This stark change highlights how quickly performance levels can fluctuate from one weekend to another, especially for a debutant who must adapt rapidly to different circuits and conditions. Monza reminded Isack Hadjar and Racing Bulls that consistency at the top level of Formula 1 requires constant adaptation and resilience.
