Logan Sargeant’s Formula 1 experience is already a closed chapter, and without too many regrets. The former Williams Racing driver spoke with surprising coldness about his departure from the category: “No, I don’t miss it. I got a bit tired of Formula 1.”
Arriving in 2023 as teammate to Alexander Albon, the American was never able to fully establish himself, and was eventually replaced in 2024 by Franco Colapinto after a first half of the season without points.
But the most striking comments came when reflecting on his exit from the sport:
“To be honest, I couldn’t care less. In the end, I simply didn’t want to be part of it anymore after seeing how some teams operate.”
Now his focus has shifted to the FIA World Endurance Championship, where Logan Sargeant appears to have rediscovered his motivation:
“It’s a fantastic championship, with a more relaxed atmosphere where everyone works together towards the same goal.”
This strong statement feels almost like a final verdict, a settling of accounts that goes beyond a simple career change and reveals a deeper disconnect with Formula 1 itself.
Logan Sargeant’s blunt assessment of his time in Formula 1 shows that the glamour of the grid isn’t for everyone. By choosing the collaborative nature of endurance racing over the cutthroat politics of the F1 paddock, the American is looking to rebuild his reputation on his own terms. As he embarks on his WEC journey, his “take-it-or-leave-it” attitude toward F1 marks a definitive end to one of the more scrutinized driver stints in recent years.
