F1, McLaren: Oscar Piastri wants to fight for World Championship title in 2025. Oscar Piastri opens up on his plans for the 2025 F1 campaign with McLaren.

Oscar Piastri, McLaren, 2024

In an exclusive interview for GPblog, talented Australian driver Oscar Piastri revealed his ambitious plans for the 2025 Formula 1 season with McLaren. “I’m ready to fight for the title,” Oscar Piastri stated, emphasizing his determination to compete with reigning champions like Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. Despite being in only his second season in Formula 1, Oscar Piastri has already proven his worth, winning two Grands Prix this season, at the Hungaroring circuit in Hungary and at the Baku City circuit in Azerbaijan. These successes, along with five podium finishes that place him fourth in the championship, highlight his rapid progress and competitiveness in the circuit.

During the recent interview, the Australian expressed satisfaction with the results achieved so far, but made it clear that he is aiming for much more. “I believe this year’s results have been very satisfying, but there is still a lot to improve. Consistency is key, and I need to maintain a high level in every race,” he pointed out.

With the goal of reaching the podium in every race, the teammate of Lando Norris acknowledges the importance of not settling and continuing to work hard. “I would be much more concerned if I couldn’t constantly find new ways to improve. I’ve always believed in my abilities, but I have to prove it every time on the track,” he added. Looking ahead to the future, Oscar Piastri envisions his third season in Formula 1 with the clear goal of securing his first world title:

“I feel ready for 2025. I’ve learned a lot this year and will continue to grow. It’s possible we won’t have another chance to become champions, so I need to make sure I’m prepared for the title fight,” – the Australian driver concluded.
