For the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Sauber has revealed its third and final special livery of the 2025 season designed in collaboration with Stake: the striking “Final Lap.” This new design was created to celebrate the momentum, performance, and shared journey between Sauber and Stake over the past three seasons.
Exclusively unveiled for the American race, “Final Lap” is a visually captivating homage inspired by the thrill and excitement of Formula 1’s most iconic symbol: the checkered flag. Reimagined in motion, checkered elements flow along the car’s bodywork as if captured mid-wave at the finish line.
These dynamic patterns blend seamlessly with deep black carbon fiber finishes and are highlighted by the team’s signature electric green accents, creating a look that conveys speed, energy, and perfectly complements the neon lights of Las Vegas.
More than just a bold aesthetic, the design symbolizes the team’s upward trajectory during the 2025 season: a celebration of relentless work at Hinwil, the on-track progress achieved, and the passion of fans who live for the decisive and breathtaking moments of a Grand Prix.
“Las Vegas is a race defined by spectacle, energy, and pushing the limits of what’s possible, and this livery represents exactly that,” said Jonathan Wheatley, Sauber Team Principal.
“The ‘Final Lap’ design is bold, striking, and confident. It captures the spirit of a team striving to grow and celebrates every milestone reached along the way. It’s a fitting tribute to our journey with Stake and a great send-off as we approach the end of the season.”
Throughout their collaboration, Stake and Sauber have brought fresh, uncompromising creativity to the Formula 1 grid. “Final Lap” now completes the trio of Stake’s special liveries for the 2025 season, serving both as a finale and a symbol of progress.
Part of a partnership characterized by innovation, ambition, and the courage to stand out, “Final Lap” embodies everything this collaboration represents: the drive to push boundaries and create memorable moments together.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix will be the only race to feature the “Final Lap” livery, offering fans a unique spectacle in a truly special setting.
