Red Bull or Mercedes: strange social media hint about F1 future of Valtteri Bottas. Social media hints about what team Valtteri Bottas could join for 2025.

Valtteri Bottas, 2024 F1

Valtteri Bottas has recently said goodbye to Sauber, and rumors about his future are already circulating, including a possible return to Mercedes, with Red Bull also sharing its opinion. In fact, immediately after the announcement of his departure, there was talk on social media of a potential return to Brackley for the Finnish driver.

Of course, in that case, he would take on the role of third driver, alongside George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli. However, returning to Mercedes would mean his continued presence in F1, even without a seat as a main driver, as he had since his debut up until the current season, which is nearing its end.

Is Red Bull getting involved in Valtteri Bottas’ future?
On social media, Valtteri Bottas’ departure has certainly made an impact. First of all, because the Finnish driver chose, as usual, to make a rather flashy announcement. In the video in which he bids farewell to Sauber and the fans, there is a frame where he is depicted practically in his underwear.

But the media attention didn’t stop there. Mercedes’ social media accounts, in fact, posted a photo of Valtteri Bottas without any description, but citing a comment that says “I will miss him, and he’s just a driver.” Up to this point, there was nothing strange, except that a response from Red Bull also appeared under the post.

The admin of the Austrian team thought it would be good to leave a rather enigmatic comment. “Valtteri, it’s James…actually no, wait, I can’t say more at the moment,” suggesting some knowledge of Bottas’ future that is currently unknown. However, among the comments, some have speculated that Red Bull might be considering Bottas to replace Perez.

However, for now, this seems quite unlikely, although Red Bull’s comment is definitely ambiguous. We will have to wait to learn more about one of the most talked-about drivers on the grid.
