Racing Bulls has officially revealed a special livery that will be used at this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, giving its VCARB03 cars a fresh look inspired by one of the biggest sporting events on the planet.
With the FIFA World Cup in Canada, the United States and Mexico just around the corner, the Faenza-based Formula 1 team has chosen to celebrate football’s global appeal through a one-off design created specifically for the event.
Liam Lawson and rookie Arvid Lindblad will race with the special colours at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where Racing Bulls will showcase a visual identity that differs from its usual appearance while still maintaining the core elements of the team’s branding.
Rather than completely redesigning the livery, the team has decided to place greater emphasis on the colours of its two title sponsors, Visa and Cash App. As a result, the white base that normally dominates the VCARB03 has been reduced significantly, making room for much larger areas of blue and green, the signature colours associated with the team’s commercial partners.
The special project goes beyond the cars themselves. Racing Bulls has also created dedicated team apparel inspired by football kits, reinforcing the connection between Formula 1 and the world’s most popular sport.
The jerseys feature a custom team crest that will be visible both on the clothing worn by team personnel and on the vertical endplates of the front wings of the VCARB03 cars, creating a consistent visual theme throughout the race weekend.
Commenting on the initiative, Racing Bulls CEO Peter Bayer said:
“Formula 1 and football are two global sports with highly passionate communities, united by a shared sense of identity, creativity and culture. With VCARB FC, we celebrate this union of energy that comes from both sports.”
He added:
“We are also proud to give emerging talents the opportunity to shape campaigns like this, bringing fresh perspectives that continue to push the boundaries of the Formula 1 world.”
The Barcelona special livery is another example of how Formula 1 teams are increasingly using major global events and cultural moments to connect with fans beyond the racetrack, blending motorsport, entertainment and worldwide sporting passion into a single celebration.
