All the curiosities
The cars set to compete in the next World Championship have yet to be seen, and the only on-track activities so far have been filming days with cars from previous seasons. While waiting for the championship to begin, the only known element is the teams’ line-ups, which feature numerous changes: Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, Liam Lawson at Red Bull, and Kimi Antonelli at Mercedes, to name a few. Curiosity naturally revolves around what drivers in their first F1 experiences or with new teams will achieve, as well as the level of competitiveness the teams themselves can reach.
Aston Martin’s efforts
Among these, Aston Martin remains a question mark. After being the disappointment of last season, the Silverstone-based team is progressing in advanced technologies and with the arrival of big names (Adrian Newey above all), thanks to Lawrence Stroll’s substantial investments. But will all this be enough for the British outfit to aim for podiums or victories ahead of the regulatory changes expected in 2026? According to Johnny Herbert, former F1 driver and now Race Steward, the answer is no.
A future disappointment
For the 60-year-old, interviewed by Casinoutanspelpaus.io, Aston Martin might even turn out to be the most disappointing team of the next championship: “Aston Martin has the most pressure on its shoulders,” he explained. “Their performances have been subpar because they couldn’t recover when, a couple of years ago, they started very strong, and then everything fell apart. Now many things have changed, but it will take some time before we see results. I believe Aston Martin will probably be the most disappointing team in 2025. Aston Martin is likely the team under the most pressure because there are so many expectations based on what Lawrence Stroll has done for the team, and now they must deliver on those promises. But we have all these positives with Adrian Newey, the new wind tunnel, and all the infrastructure that has been built.”
Not just the team
Beyond these aspects, Johnny Herbert added another, this time regarding the drivers: “Sometimes Fernando Alonso has been a bit frustrated, which is always expected of him,” he concluded, “and Lance Stroll needs to improve because both of them must be able to push each other to help the team progress.”
