Official: Santander becomes Williams’ new sponsor with multi-year deal. Carlos Sainz already on track today. Carlos Sainz’s arrival is already yielding tangible results for Williams.

A Spanish alliance
On Carlos Sainz’s first ‘official’ day as a Williams driver, the team announced a new partnership with a sponsor long associated with the Madrid-born driver and Spanish drivers in F1: Banco Santander. The Spanish financial institution has signed a multi-year agreement as one of the new commercial partners of the Grove team, bringing economic and brand value.

Carlos Sainz already on track
Santander’s branding will immediately appear on the Williams car, debuting tomorrow during the post-season tests at Yas Marina, marking the official start of Sainz’s journey with his new team. Today, however, Carlos Sainz is already behind the wheel in Abu Dhabi for a filming day.

Statements following the announcement
Juan Manuel Cendoya, Vice President of Santander Spain, stated: “We are delighted to collaborate with Williams Racing in a tactical agreement that allows us to continue offering exclusive experiences to our clients and supporting Carlos Sainz in his new adventure. Williams is one of the most historic teams with one of F1’s greatest legacies, complementing our role as an official retail banking partner focused on our key markets.”

James Vowles also expressed satisfaction, beginning to see off-track benefits from his leadership: “Williams Racing is proud to add Santander to our growing list of partners for 2025 and beyond. Joining forces with a global banking giant trusted by tens of millions worldwide is another significant step in our transformation, and we look forward to working with Santander to engage and excite fans in the years to come.”
