Mercedes reveals updated logo as it prepares for the 2026 F1 regulations. Mercedes has unveiled its new official logo ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 season.

Mercedes W16, 2025 F1 car

Mercedes has decided to unveil its new official logo, which will come into effect starting from the 2026 Formula 1 season.

Formula 1 teams are gradually preparing for the new season, with the launch of the 2026 liveries drawing ever closer. Mercedes has also chosen this phase of anticipation to revisit its visual identity, officially presenting a revised logo that will be used from the 2026 campaign onwards. The Brackley-based team is widely expected to be one of the key protagonists of the new regulatory era, with significant attention focused on its technical and strategic direction.

The upcoming Formula 1 season is full of unknowns, and even the teams themselves do not yet have a clear picture of their true competitive position. Understanding the work being carried out by rival teams remains extremely difficult at this stage, but Mercedes appears to start with strong expectations, fuelled by persistent rumours surrounding the German manufacturer’s 2026 project.

Mercedes changes its look for the next season

It is not only a new car that Mercedes is preparing for 2026. The team has also officially presented a new logo that will debut alongside the next-generation Formula 1 regulations. The announcement was made earlier today through a video published on the team’s official social media channels. In recent weeks, the Brackley-based squad had already revealed the sound of the power unit that will hit the track in less than a month, a topic that has been widely discussed throughout the winter break.

There is no radical departure from the brand’s historic identity. Instead, Mercedes has opted for a refined update, featuring a cleaner stylisation of the iconic three-pointed star and a repositioning of the lettering towards the lower part of the logo.

There is considerable curiosity surrounding Mercedes as the paddock waits to see where the team will position itself in the competitive hierarchy under the new regulations. Several reports have pointed to a potential advantage linked to an increased compression ratio, although only on-track performance will provide definitive answers. What remains certain is that the team continues to work relentlessly in search of innovative solutions, driven by the same ambition that has long defined Mercedes: to return to the top and challenge for supremacy across the grid.

As the technical revolution of 2026 looms, these aesthetic shifts serve as a reminder that every detail—from branding to aerodynamics—is being meticulously recalibrated for a new age of racing. With the Silver Arrows leading the charge in visual and technical updates, the stage is set for a season where innovation and tradition collide. Fans won’t have to wait much longer to see if this refreshed identity coincides with a return to the top step of the podium, as the first roar of the new engines is just weeks away from echoing through the pit lane.
