Mercedes heads to Miami
After a challenging weekend in Jeddah, Mercedes is looking to bounce back and return to the podium. The Saudi circuit was particularly tough for the W16, suffering from high tire degradation, which hampered George Russell and Kimi Antonelli’s performance, though both drivers did their best to bring home the best result possible. In Miami, the Brackley-based team hopes to be more competitive and aims for a return to podium contention, as hoped by team principal Toto Wolff.
Toto Wolff’s words
“We’ve had a good start to the season, but we are not complacent. We want to continue on the positive trajectory we’ve had in the first five races. Saudi Arabia was a more challenging Grand Prix, but we learned a lot. We hope for a better result in Miami,” said the Austrian.
“Miami is an iconic city, and the whole event has become one of the most important on the calendar. This year, we have film previews, technology forums, partner events, and more to celebrate Miami’s roots and the team’s legacy. This week, we will have a different look as part of this campaign, with the launch of our first collaboration with Adidas in a special edition. It will be an action-packed weekend, and we hope to make it a highlight of the 2025 season, both on and off the track.”
Adidas has designed a summer collection for Mercedes, which will be seen for the first time in Florida. The line is inspired by Miami’s mangroves, featuring a shirt in off-white, burgundy, and coral colors.
