Williams – Franco Colapinto, possible separation
Franco Colapinto and Williams may be going their separate ways. The Grove-based team has released a video in which the mechanics thank the Argentine driver, who replaced Logan Sargeant starting from Monza, and wish him the best for the future.
The video
In the video shared on social media, the mechanics and engineers seem to bid farewell to Franco Colapinto (although no official announcement has been made by Williams).
Dear, Franco.
Gracias por tanto 💙 pic.twitter.com/3iCANk2Cil

The tone and words—”Good luck,” “We wish you the best for the future,” “I hope to see you back on the grid in 2025″—appear to indicate that Colapinto will not remain with Williams next season, not even as a reserve driver, contrary to rumors from German sources a week ago.
The future
At this stage, the most likely future for Franco Colapinto seems to be with Alpine, as both Red Bull and RB Racing appear to have lost interest in the Argentine. Despite his strong performances in his early Formula 1 races, his results have been marred by a few avoidable incidents in recent Grands Prix.
The French team has promoted Jack Doohan to F1 but with a contract strongly tied to his initial results on track in 2025. Should the Australian fail to deliver, Flavio Briatore, a great admirer of Colapinto, could bring the Argentine back into the fold.
