
As winter approaches, Formula 1 has officially wrapped up the 2025 season and the ground-effect era following the Abu Dhabi tests last Tuesday. Before heading into the holiday season, the sport’s top stars gathered in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, for the FIA Awards Ceremony, the annual gala where the Federation honors champions across all its organized series, including Formula 1, Rally, Formula E, Endurance, Rally-Raid, Rallycross, and all feeder series.
Pilots and teams recognized
For the drivers, McLaren’s Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were present, finishing first and third respectively in the World Championship concluded at Yas Marina. Max Verstappen was absent due to illness and could not attend the event. McLaren also received deserved recognition for claiming the Constructors’ Championship.

The FIA will publish the full ceremony video on its YouTube channel at 7 PM, where fans can follow all the awards presentations.
Among the other drivers honored were Oliver Rowland (Formula E champion), Johan Kristoffersson (Rallycross champion), the Endurance Hypercar champions, Sébastien Ogier (Rally champion), and Lucas Moraes (Rally-Raid champion).
Italian presence shines
Italy was well represented again this year. Ferrari stood out, celebrating victories in the Endurance Hypercar World Championship at both the Constructors and Drivers levels, with the #51 car driven by Antonio Giovinazzi, James Calado, and Alessandro Pier Guidi. Leonardo Fornaroli was also present, following his 2024 F3 championship success with a win in the 2025 F2 World Championship, showing that his momentum continues to grow.
