Kimi Antonelli has successfully passed his high school graduation exams and is now ready to head to the Austrian GP: here’s the Mercedes driver’s social media photo.
Kimi Antonelli has passed his final exams with success. On Instagram, the Mercedes driver shared a story showing him posing with the traditional laurel crown after graduation.
Last week, after the Canadian GP, the young talent from Bologna returned to Italy to take the written part of his graduation exams. As reported in several articles, Antonelli managed to balance his life as a student and Formula 1 driver very well, thanks also to the support of his teachers and classmates.
“Better to get a perfect score at graduation or a podium in Austria? Both. I did my best, now we wait for the results,” the 18-year-old rookie had told journalists waiting for him outside his school, just after finishing the Italian written exam. After clearing that hurdle, Kimi also took the traditional oral exam, which—based on what he shared on Instagram—he successfully completed.
“Passed!” Antonelli wrote on his Instagram profile. And now it’s off to Austria, where Formula 1 returns to racing after a one-week break. To prepare for his exams, the young Mercedes driver even skipped the New York premiere of F1 – The Movie (here’s the early review), which was attended by many of his fellow drivers on the grid, including teammate George Russell.
And for those jokingly wondering if Kimi Antonelli has a “post-graduation job,” no worries: starting Friday, he’ll be back in his Mercedes and ready to drive on the Spielberg track.
