F1 breaking news: one of Christian Horner or Toto Wolff could replace Stefano Domenicali. Either Christian Horner or Toto Wolff could replace Stefano Domenicali as CEO of F1.

Christian Horner, Red Bull team boss

One of Christian Horner, Toto Wolff, or, more distantly, Zak Brown, might take over Stefano Domenicali’s role as CEO of Formula 1. This was the bombshell dropped a few hours ago by the British newspaper *Daily Mail*, which claimed that the position of the Italian manager, whose contract expires in 2025, could be seriously questioned by Greg Maffei.

According to the British publication, Liberty Media’s top executive had discussed Stefano Domenicali’s future during a meeting in London with other prominent figures from Formula 1, and the renewal of the former Ferrari team principal now seems far from certain. The American businessman is reportedly considering a change of leadership at the top of the sport, especially following the departure of Sacha Woodward Hill, who had served as Chief Legal Officer for the past 30 years.

“The Americans might be looking to shake things up. I believe Greg wants to manage the entire company,” wrote Jonathan McEvoy in the article, hinting at a potential leadership handover.

If this scenario were to materialize, it could trigger a real power struggle between the Red Bull and Mercedes team principals—two of the most charismatic and influential figures in the paddock, who have often entertained fans with their verbal clashes over the years.

This situation is one to watch closely in the coming months, although, for now, none of the figures mentioned has made any statements regarding the matter.
