Carlos Sainz gets stuck in his Williams car after F1 Saudi Arabian GP – VIDEO. Watch Carlos Sainz struggle to exit his car after the Saudi Arabian GP finish line.

Carlos Sainz, Williams 2025 F1

Carlos Sainz had a minor issue after finishing the Saudi Arabian GP. After qualifying in sixth place, the Williams driver crossed the finish line in eighth position ahead of teammate Alex Albon.

The Grove team collected important points for the Constructors’ Championship, securing fifth place ahead of Haas. Sainz’s contribution was crucial in helping the team achieve this result. In the final laps of the race, Sainz consistently gave DRS to Alex Albon, allowing him to defend against  Isack Hadjar’s attack for ninth place.

After the race, Sainz had some difficulty getting out of the car. From the onboard footage, he is seen struggling to lift himself up. It appears something was holding him back, preventing him from standing up. In the video, Sainz looks around for someone to help, until a Sauber mechanic arrives to assist him, and he is finally able to exit the car.

After a problematic period, the new Williams driver seems to have finally found a good feeling with the car. He earned his first point in China, after Ferrari’s double disqualification and Pierre Gasly‘s penalty, which promoted him from 13th to 10th.

In Saudi Arabia, Sainz scored another four points, capping off a positive weekend for the Grove team. Williams is now in fifth place in the Constructors’ Championship, behind Ferrari. After Jeddah, McLaren extended its lead, reaching 188 points.

“I had fun pushing the car to the limit today, especially on such a challenging track where safety makes a huge difference,” he said to the media after the race. “I’m proud of the progress we’re making. Since the start of FP1, I’ve felt much more comfortable in the car.”
