After being recalled following Nikita Mazepin’s exit due to the war in Russia, Kevin Magnussen has once again said goodbye to F1 at the end of 2024. Haas has decided to bet on a much younger and completely renewed lineup.
In 2025, Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman will be behind the wheel of the American team’s cars, which has grown significantly with the arrival of Ayao Komatsu. Since the Japanese engineer took on the role of Team Principal, Haas has made notable progress both in terms of results and organization.
The American team has now become fully self-sufficient, thanks to sponsors that allow it to cover all necessary expenses. This is an important milestone that symbolizes the growth process of Gene Haas’s team.
A new Magnussen aims for Formula 1
Despite Kevin Magnussen’s recent departure, we may soon see the Danish surname back in F1. The former Haas driver’s younger brother has recently begun his single-seater career and dreams of reaching the Circus.
Luca Magnussen, Kevin’s 15-year-old brother, will debut with Fortec Motorsport in GB4, a category similar to British Formula 4. During his karting career, the young Danish driver has shown great talent, which he hopes to prove in single-seaters as well.
It remains to be seen whether Luca will follow in Kevin’s footsteps. What is certain is that speed runs deep in the Magnussen family.
