Haas is going all out for the Austin Grand Prix which is set to take place this weekend and will sport a very special livery. Just like last year, the American team will honor American pride with one of the national symbols of the United States.
You can see the livery in the image below:
As announced, Haas will use a special livery decorated with a bald eagle for the Austin GP weekend. Consequently, drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen will also wear new suits to pay tribute to the team’s home race.
The bald eagle became one of the national symbols of the United States in 1789. It also appears on the national seal, the Great Seal of the United States.
Not only Haas: it seems Alpine is planning a special Indiana Jones-themed livery for Austin. The Texas Grand Prix weekend will be an opportunity to promote the upcoming video game inspired by the adventures of the archaeologist portrayed by Harrison Ford in the films.
McLaren is expected to launch its special livery, while Red Bull has reportedly dropped the idea in order to save weight on the RB20.
Haas arrives in the U.S. with high hopes of achieving something significant. The team, led by Ayao Komatsu, is currently seventh in the constructors’ championship, just three points behind Alpine. With six races left in the season, including Grands Prix and Sprint Races, Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen will give their best to score points.
For the Austin GP, Haas will also feature logos from the team’s new technical partner, Toyota Gazoo Racing. They will be visible on the nose and the rear wing. The partnership was announced last week.
