VIDEO: Nico Hulkenberg’s daughter Noemi cheers his historic first Formula 1 podium. Nico Hulkenberg secured his first-ever Formula 1 podium at the 2025 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

The uncontainable joy of Nico Hulkenberg’s daughter was captured in a heartwarming video, as she watched her father standing proudly on the podium at the 2025 Formula 1 British Grand Prix held at Silverstone.

There are moments in life that go beyond any monetary value—one of them is undoubtedly seeing your father achieve a milestone after years of hard work. For Nico Hulkenberg, this moment arrived after an extraordinary performance at Silverstone, where he secured his very first podium finish in Formula 1.

After a long and determined career spanning 238 Grand Prix starts, the German racing driver finally clinched a third-place finish, bringing home a remarkable result for the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. His achievement was met with immense pride and celebration within the team, which has been on a steady path of improvement and upward trajectory.

This progress was also acknowledged by former Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto, who praised Sauber’s growth and noted their current sixth place in the 2025 Constructors’ Championship standings. The Hinwil-based team is set to undergo a major transformation next year, officially becoming the Audi works team—adding further importance to this historic result.

Nico Hulkenberg’s words after the race were filled with disbelief and pride, as he recounted the chaotic nature of the race and the perfect execution by the team. Starting all the way back in 19th position on the grid, the German veteran drove an exceptional race in extremely challenging conditions.

“It’s really surreal—I don’t even know how I managed to do it,” he said during his post-race interview. “The conditions were absolutely crazy. It felt like a battle for survival for most of the race. But we stayed sharp, made the right calls at the right time, and avoided mistakes. That’s what made the difference today.”

Back at home, there was someone watching and cheering with all her heart. Egle Ruskyte, Hulkenberg’s wife, shared a touching video on her Instagram Stories that quickly captured the attention of Formula 1 fans around the world. In the video, their young daughter Noemi is seen celebrating with pure joy as she sees her father on the Formula 1 podium for the first time. The emotional clip went viral in just a few hours, adding to the feel-good factor surrounding Hulkenberg’s achievement.

Speaking during the post-race press conference, Nico Hulkenberg reflected on the emotions of returning to a podium after so many years. The last time he had climbed onto a major motorsport podium was back in 2015, when he won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race with Porsche.

“It was a really nice feeling. I actually remembered how to do it—how to spray the champagne,” he said with a smile. “I used to do it often back in my junior formula days, but I had to wait quite a long time to do it again in Formula 1.”

Hulkenberg’s podium finish at Silverstone was widely recognized as a well-deserved reward for years of resilience and persistence. Even many of the local British fans, who had come to Silverstone hoping to see Lewis Hamilton reach his first podium with Scuderia Ferrari, applauded the German driver’s incredible drive and his long-awaited first F1 podium.
