Today, Red Bull surprised everyone by publishing a video on their YouTube channel about an experience their CEO and team principal had between the Silverstone circuit and the event organized for the Goodwood Festival, which many team members attended during the distant days of July.
Pure adrenaline for Horner between Silverstone and Goodwood – THE VIDEO
The video focuses on the team principal of the Milton Keynes squad, Christian Horner, who, taking Sebastian Vettel‘s place, returned to driving an open-wheel car. In the past, the British manager competed in Formula Renault (1992), British Formula 3, and British Formula 2 in the following seasons until 1996.
For this much-anticipated return, he didn’t choose just any car but a Formula 1 car. “Don’t crash,” his wife told him as Christian was nearly ready to press the accelerator pedal and take off.
“It feels like being strapped to a rocket,” Horner commented, thrilled by the incredible experience shared with Verstappen and former driver and friend David Coulthard.
