The Faenza-based team appears to have a strong affinity with change. Since becoming closely linked with Red Bull, it raced for many years under the Toro Rosso name, but in more recent times it has shown an almost extreme level of dynamism, switching in a short period from AlphaTauri to VCARB, the acronym for Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.
The 2026 season will see the third car produced by the factory now officially renamed VCARB. Between the first and second seasons under this new identity, there was a clear and significant shift in terms of livery design. The team moved away from a predominance of dark blue to a much stronger presence of white on the liveries that defined the VCARB-01 and the VCARB-02.
The new 2026 race suits
Today, the Italian team chose to unveil the race suits and team clothing that will be worn by the drivers, Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad, as well as by the technical staff throughout the 2026 championship. The chosen colour scheme, at least in the view of many observers, could represent an important signal for the decision that will be made regarding the next Formula 1 livery.
Race suits that are almost entirely white, with blue appearing only on the upper sections of the shoulders and arms, suggest that there may not be many differences compared to the 2025 design. At a time when Formula 1 itself is undergoing major changes, VCARB may have decided to remain loyal to its very recent and youthful past.
This approach would project the image of a team in constant evolution, always seeking to grow and develop, while still starting from a solid and cohesive group foundation. Despite continuous changes in name and identity, VCARB appears keen to preserve a sense of unity and continuity, using it as a stable base from which to face the challenges of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
The decision to stick with a predominantly white and blue palette suggests that VCARB is finally settling into its new identity after years of name changes and branding shifts. For a team traditionally seen as a “stepping stone,” this visual consistency might be the first sign of a more mature, independent era for the Faenza outfit. As Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad prepare to suit up in these new colors, the focus shifts from the marketing department back to the track, where the team hopes their stable identity will be matched by stable, front-running performance in 2026.
