In recent days, Red Bull officially ended its partnership with Sergio Perez, despite the Mexican driver previously confirming he would race alongside Max Verstappen for at least another year, as stipulated in his contract. Checo had intended to continue with the Austrian team to set a good example for his children, but after a disappointing 2024 season, the separation became inevitable.
Upon learning the news that her husband would be leaving the Milton Keynes team—and likely stepping away from Formula 1 altogether—Carola Martinez, Perez’s wife, dedicated a tribute video to him, compiling highlights from his racing career.
The video concludes with their three children thanking and praising their father. Sergio Jr., the eldest, said: “Thank you so much, Dad, for being a role model; you’re the best driver and the best dad.” The younger two, Carlota and Emilio, added heartfelt messages: “Never give up” and “I love you so much, Dad.”
Carola ended her social media post with a caption: “I’m proud to see you move forward through the years. Thank you, my love.”
