Helmut Marko: “Lawson’s performances are disappointing, Hadjar instead…”
Helmut Marko shared his opinion on the Red Bull ecosystem drivers with SpeedWeek:
“Lawson has recovered with Racing Bulls, but his performances are still not consistent enough. Hadjar is not only the discovery of the season for me, but he would be in a better position in the championship if he hadn’t had four engine problems. When the Parisian’s car works, he is a guaranteed top-ten finisher every time, which is very promising for his future.”
Red Bull still to confirm 2026 line-up
Helmut Marko’s comments come at a crucial moment for the Red Bull group, which is finalizing the driver lineup for 2026, a season that will see the arrival of new power units and a reshuffled balance of power. Currently, Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar are the only confirmed names for the 2026 season, while Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson officially remain “at risk.”
Red Bull has confirmed it will take more time before announcing the full lineup for both the senior team and Racing Bulls. However, the picture painted by Marko is already clear: Hadjar represents the future, while Lawson still has to prove he deserves a seat.
