Aerodynamic updates for Racing Bulls
Racing Bulls has shown good speed in this early part of the season, but the team, led on track by former Ferrari man Laurent Mekies, has not managed to fully capitalise on its potential and currently sits eighth in the Constructors’ standings with 8 points (one more than Alpine and two more than Sauber). At Imola, the Red Bull junior team will be racing at home and will also bring some updates to the car. Below are the comments from the drivers and the CTO (Chief Technical Officer) Tim Goss ahead of the Emilia-Romagna GP.
Isack Hadjar: “I’m excited for this weekend because it will be one of the team’s home races. It’s the first race in Europe this season and it’s nice to be ‘home’. Imola is a track I know very well; I also won here last year in F2, so that gives me a bit more confidence. Our car has done a lot of laps here, and it’s definitely the track where we’ve racked up the most mileage. Hopefully, that’s an advantage for us. I’m looking forward to getting back on track after Miami and to starting this triple-header.”
Liam Lawson: “It’s a great feeling to be racing in one of the team’s home Grands Prix this weekend. Imola is an iconic circuit, it’s steeped in history and tradition, and it’s exciting to race here in Formula 1 for the first time. The track is very fast and leaves no room for error. We have three important weeks ahead, and we want to start on the right foot.” – he pointed out ahead of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend.
Tim Goss: “The midfield battle remains incredibly tight, so every tiny detail in performance, preparation, and execution will make a difference. We come into this weekend with more confidence in our understanding of how to extract the most from the car following the setup work done in the last race and with some aerodynamic updates that we hope will keep us in the fight for the top ten.”
