Isack Hadjar sounds the alarm
Isack Hadjar’s third-place finish at Zandvoort seemed to signal the start of an exciting second half of the season. However, that first Formula 1 podium has become one of the last notable results for the French driver, who aside from a strong comeback in Monza, has struggled to impress, collecting only two points over the last five race weekends.
Technical issues, like the engine problems in Singapore, and incidents such as his qualifying crash in Austin, have further complicated matters for the Racing Bulls driver. Now, Isack Hadjar faces the challenge of returning to the points, with a potential Red Bull promotion in 2026 also at stake.
Isack Hadjar’s words
“I’m looking forward to racing in Mexico this week. Austin wasn’t a good weekend for us because we didn’t have the pace we expected. Now we need to regain our usual form, get back into Q3, and fight for points on Sunday. I know we can do it. I debuted in F1 in Mexico during FP1 in 2023, so I know the track and I can’t wait to return to this place that brings back so many great memories,” said Hadjar.
Liam Lawson’s words
“It’s fantastic to be back in Mexico. This is a really unique race because the high altitude makes the cars very difficult to drive,” added Liam Lawson. “The air is thin, so we reach very high speeds, but this also increases sliding in the corners due to low grip. The atmosphere here is always incredible, which is amazing for F1. I can’t wait to race this weekend in front of the fans.”
