Racing Bulls F1 2025: New Identity, New Drivers and Major Changes. The Racing Bulls team in Formula 1 for the 2025 season enters a new chapter.

Yuki Tsunoda, 2024 RB

The Racing Bulls team in Formula 1 for the 2025 season enters a new chapter with a redefined identity and significant uncertainty surrounding its driver lineup. Key decisions regarding the future of Sergio Perez and Liam Lawson are still pending, while emerging talents like Franco Colapinto could potentially make their debut. As the 2025 grid takes shape, it will feature rising stars and iconic numbers, adding even more excitement to an already dynamic landscape.

For Racing Bulls, the 2025 Formula 1 season represents a critical turning point, as the team takes the grid under a refreshed and clearer identity. After a year of confusion surrounding its name, this rebranding marks a decisive step toward greater stability and clarity. However, questions regarding the driver lineup continue to dominate, leaving much to be decided in the coming months.

Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson, and Sergio Perez’s Future

The composition of the Racing Bulls team for 2025 remains up in the air, with one crucial decision yet to be made: Will Yuki Tsunoda stay with the team, or will Liam Lawson take over his seat?

The young New Zealander, who replaced Daniel Ricciardo during the United States Grand Prix, has impressed with his performances, and there are indications that he could secure a permanent spot on the grid for the upcoming season. Lawson’s future, however, is largely tied to Red Bull’s decision regarding the fate of Sergio Perez.

Perez’s 2024 season has been challenging, with the Mexican driver finishing 285 points behind his teammate and reigning world champion Max Verstappen. Struggles with the RB20’s stability and inconsistent performances have fueled speculation about a potential replacement, with Lawson seen as a leading candidate for the seat.

Yet, Tsunoda is far from out of the running. The Japanese driver had the opportunity to drive the RB20 during the post-season tests in Abu Dhabi, where he showed his capabilities and caught the attention of the team’s decision-makers.

Should Perez depart, there could be a second opening within the Racing Bulls team, with talks already suggesting the possibility of Franco Colapinto’s arrival. The Argentine driver, previously linked to Red Bull’s development program, could be in line for a spot, adding another exciting prospect to the mix.

The Racing Bulls F1 team’s future in 2025 is shaping up to be full of changes and opportunities. With fresh faces, strategic decisions to be made, and a revitalized identity, the Faenza-based team is gearing up for what could be a pivotal season. While it remains uncertain who will join Yuki Tsunoda or Liam Lawson on the grid, one thing is clear: 2025 is set to be a defining year for Racing Bulls.
