Max Verstappen’s net worth reaches €310 million as Red Bull F1 star climbs Dutch rich list

Max Verstappen, 2024 F1

Max Verstappen’s estimated net worth has risen to €310 million in 2026, securing the Red Bull Formula 1 driver a place among the 500 richest people in the Netherlands for another year. According to the latest edition of the Quote 500, the four-time world champion has increased his fortune by €50 million over the past 12 months, climbing 40 positions in the prestigious Dutch wealth ranking.

The new edition of the Quote 500, published on Tuesday, 27 October, places Max Verstappen 224th among the Netherlands’ wealthiest individuals. His estimated fortune has increased from €260 million in 2025, when he occupied 264th place, making him one of the most notable climbers in the latest rankings. He also remains the youngest Dutch person featured on the list and the country’s highest-ranked sportsman.

Max Verstappen’s net worth reaches €310 million in 2026

Despite his relatively young age, Max Verstappen has already accumulated considerable personal wealth. The Red Bull driver has appeared in the Quote 500 for several years, steadily moving up the rankings as his Formula 1 career and commercial activities have developed.

The latest figures indicate that his estimated fortune has grown by €50 million in a single year, representing an increase of approximately 19% compared with 2025. His rise from 264th to 224th position also means he has moved into the upper half of the ranking for the first time.

Max Verstappen has been among Formula 1’s highest-paid drivers for several years, earning substantial income from his racing career. Alongside his Red Bull earnings, he benefits from commercial partnerships and business activities outside Formula 1, contributing to his overall financial position.

His continued prominence in the sport comes during another competitive season for Red Bull, with the Dutch driver recently involved in a demanding United States Grand Prix. Following his Austin podium finish, Max Verstappen highlighted engine-related difficulties that had affected his performance during the race.

Max Verstappen remains the youngest person in the Quote 500

Max Verstappen’s presence among the Netherlands’ wealthiest individuals is particularly remarkable because he remains the youngest person included in the Quote 500. At 29, the four-time Formula 1 world champion has built a fortune that comfortably exceeds the minimum threshold required to qualify for the 2026 edition.

To enter this year’s ranking, individuals needed an estimated net worth of at least €140 million. Max Verstappen’s €310 million fortune therefore places him well above the entry requirement and reinforces his position as the wealthiest Dutch athlete represented in the list.

The broader figures also reveal a significant increase in wealth among the Netherlands’ richest individuals. According to the Quote 500, the combined fortunes of the 500 wealthiest people in the country have risen by more than 10%, reaching a record total exceeding €300 billion.

That increase reflects the wider growth in wealth recorded by the ranking, although Max Verstappen’s position remains distinctive because of his age and sporting background. His earnings from Formula 1 and commercial activities have enabled him to compete financially with established entrepreneurs, investors and business owners.

Jean-Louis van der Velde becomes the richest person in the Netherlands

Although Max Verstappen continues to climb the Quote 500, his estimated fortune remains some distance from the individuals occupying the top three positions. The 2026 edition has nevertheless produced a major change at the top of the ranking, ending a period of dominance that began in 2012.

Cryptocurrency billionaire Jean-Louis van der Velde has become the richest person in the Netherlands, with an estimated fortune of €26 billion. He has overtaken Charlene de Carvalho-Heineken, who had held first place since 2012 and now occupies second position with an estimated net worth of €13 billion.

Ralph Sonnenberg completes the top three with an estimated fortune of €6.9 billion. The considerable difference between these figures and Max Verstappen’s €310 million illustrates the scale of wealth held by the highest-ranked individuals on the list.

Nevertheless, Max Verstappen’s rise of 40 places over the past year represents another important milestone beyond his achievements on the racetrack. As the youngest member of the Quote 500 and the Netherlands’ highest-ranked sportsman, the Red Bull driver continues to strengthen his financial standing alongside his Formula 1 career.
