Liam Lawson overtakes Sergio Perez and flips him middle finger in Mexico: VIDEO goes viral. There was a fierce battle between Sergio Perez and Liam Lawson in Mexico.

Among the many storylines offered by the 2024 Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix at the 4.304-kilometre Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico City, there was also room for a fierce battle between Sergio Perez and Liam Lawson.

The two drivers, both in contention for the second seat at Red Bull next Formula 1 season, found themselves engaged in a heated battle on the Hermanos Rodriguez circuit, with Sergio Perez, attempting to salvage a disastrous weekend, battling the New Zealander in the early stages of the race.

Checo made his move on the RB driver in turn 4, diving inside and firmly pushing his rival off the track.

However, instead of yielding the position, Liam Lawson kept his foot down and regained the lead heading into turn 5. It was at that point that the two cars made contact, with Sergio Perez sustaining significant damage to the floor and side pod area, suffering a severe loss of aerodynamic downforce that irreparably compromised his recovery.

To add insult to injury for Checo, more disappointment followed shortly after.

Unable to continue with a competitive car, the New Zealander easily overtook him once again, even flipping him the middle finger on the straight—a gesture not particularly appreciated by Perez or Red Bull management.

The footage, captured by the onboard camera of car number 30, soon began circulating on social media, going viral in a very short time.

Here’s the link to the video.
