Miami, Lando Norris believes
It won’t be another Suzuka: this time, Lando Norris is determined to show his claws to Max Verstappen and make the most of McLaren’s technical superiority. For the 11th time in his career, the British driver will share the front row with the Dutch star—a situation that usually unsettles him, tames him, and sometimes even leads him to make mistakes.
This time, Lando Norris must keep his emotions in check—not least because the dizzying heights of the front row also caught out Oscar Piastri, who will start fourth in Florida—and because this is a circuit where car #4 seems to be blessed, thanks to his lucky first F1 win (in 2024) and the equally dramatic Sprint victory yesterday.
Lando Norris’ comments
However, Lando Norris sees other contenders for the win as well: “I’m not expecting a fight with just Max. Kimi Antonelli has been fast all weekend, and so has Oscar. I expect a tough race from every angle.”
“I think this time I can challenge Max more. DRS helps overtaking a lot, and that’s what we need. Also, the braking zones are much wider than in Suzuka. I hope it goes well and that we can have a good race,” he added ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, which will take place at the Miami International Autodrome in Florida.
