Eddie Jordan’s Battle
In 2024, Eddie Jordan began his fight against an aggressive cancer affecting his bladder and prostate, which later spread to his spine and pelvis. Now that the most challenging phase is behind him, the Irishman has looked back and, drawing from his experience, has offered advice to young people so they can avoid going through the same suffering.
The key word is “prevention,” and the audience that needs to hear it is precisely the younger generation, who are often reluctant to undergo such checkups—at least as long as they feel healthy. But acting only when symptoms appear is risky, and Jordan has sent a clear message to young people.
Eddie Jordan’s Words
“I’m currently in the middle of a chemotherapy cycle, but as we’re recording this, I’m in good shape,” Eddie Jordan told David Coulthard in the latest episode of *Formula for Success*. “I have to tell the guys and girls not to be afraid. Go get checked.”
“The reality is that there is a great chance of survival. There is incredible access to good medical care worldwide now with chemotherapy. It seems like they have a clear plan. I’ve undergone four cycles of chemotherapy so far. You never know if it’s completely gone—I may need another, or maybe two more. You would never want your best friend to go through chemo, but at the same time, the outlook and the future are very positive,” Eddie Jordan added regarding progress in the fight against cancer.
