Isack Hadjar is preparing for what will be his debut season in Formula 1. As he himself stated in an interview with *L’Equipe*, this is something he has “never done before.” The Frenchman has even decided to move to Italy, specifically to Faenza, to be close to Racing Bulls’ headquarters for any eventuality.
“Other Red Bull junior drivers went to Milton Keynes, but not me. I have never changed residence, not even during my last year in Formula 2 when I fought for the title with Campos. But now, I’ve taken the initiative,” Isack Hadjar said. “I wanted to give myself the best chances of success and not have any regrets later.”
“Being new to Racing Bulls, I want to integrate well within the team, which is why I’m investing a lot of time with them and participating in team-building activities. Even my race engineer had to move from Milton Keynes to Faenza to keep working with me.”
Speaking about his expectations for the upcoming season, Isack Hadjar admitted: “It’s hard to say. From a purely technical standpoint, I obviously lack a lot of data. For example, I’ve never driven with 110 kg of fuel—I have no idea what that feels like. I still need to lay the groundwork. I need to gain experience.” – he pointed out.
However, despite never having raced in a Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Racing Bulls rookie already has clear goals. As he stated: “In Australia, I want to reach Q3 and finish in the points. Over the course of the year, I’d also like to achieve my first podium. However, I don’t know how things will go. This will be a learning year for me.”
