Formula 1 heads to the United States for the second time this season, with the Circus arriving at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin. The track is highly appreciated by drivers for its complete layout, combining technical and fast sections, slow corners, long straights, and heavy braking zones. For these reasons, and with a Sprint weekend format, it is crucial to quickly get familiar with the track—a potential disadvantage for Isack Hadjar, who has never raced here before, unlike his Racing Bulls teammate, Liam Lawson.
Hadjar’s comments
“This will be my first time in Austin. It’s a Sprint weekend, so I’m really looking forward to racing on Saturday and Sunday. We’ve left behind the frustrating end to the Singapore weekend, where our speed was competitive in the midfield pack, and now we are fully focused on achieving strong results in both races here in Texas,” said the French driver, aiming for a standout performance to convince Red Bull to promote him as Max Verstappen’s teammate in 2026.
Lawson’s comments
“I’m excited to race in Austin,” added Liam Lawson, who began his career as a full-time Racing Bulls driver here in 2024. “It’s very exciting to return to a track I enjoy, the atmosphere here is incredible. COTA is a high-grip circuit that suits F1 cars very well. It is built on a unique landscape, the asphalt changes every year, and it will make the race very interesting.”
For this occasion, Racing Bulls will run a special livery. In addition to the Faenza-based team, special liveries have been announced for McLaren, Williams, Aston Martin, Haas, and Alpine.
