Max Verstappen may secure his fourth consecutive world championship in Las Vegas. Following his remarkable victory in Brazil, where he surged forward from seventeenth place, the Dutchman has widened his lead over Lando Norris, and the title is now within reach.
In a previous article, we have already discussed the scenarios that could see Max Verstappen crowned world champion at the Las Vegas GP. If his rival still hopes to challenge him, he will need to finish at least ahead of him in the race. And that will be no easy task.
Meanwhile, preparations are already underway in the “Sin City” for a celebration. Should Max Verstappen win the championship right in Las Vegas, the Grand Prix organizers are ready to celebrate alongside him.
Last year, the Strip returned to the Formula 1 calendar and was a massive success on all fronts. Despite the inconvenience caused to workers and the disruptions from building the circuit, Formula 1’s top officials are eager to bring back the spectacle.
According to reports from Autosport, the Grand Prix organizers and Red Bull are planning a grand celebration if Max Verstappen succeeds in securing the title.
Renee Wilm, CEO of the Las Vegas GP, has expressed her readiness to “pull something out of the hat.” And there are ample opportunities for this. “The properties on the Strip, Wynn and Encore, are unparalleled in terms of luxury and hospitality,” she explained. “Then there’s the Bellagio with its iconic fountains and VIP services. There are so many opportunities to spotlight the drivers, especially if we have the privilege of crowning a champion.”
Renee Wilm believes that such a dynamic Formula 1 season translates into high ticket demand, which can only benefit the U.S. market.
“In the United States, we love to see a good race. It doesn’t matter who it involves, whether it’s a team or a driver. Knowing that there’s still a lot at stake, that the championship is still up for grabs, and the fact that so many different drivers have been on the podium generates a great deal of excitement and anticipation.” – she concluded.
