Excellent eighth place for the Brazilian at Monza

The entire paddock is at the feet of Max Verstappen. After his stunning overtake on Oscar Piastri at the start of the Imola GP, the Dutch driver dominated the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, even having to overtake Lando Norris on track after initially yielding position under team orders due to the events in the early laps.

“Compared to Verstappen, everyone else looks like fools,” said Toto Wolff. “We were close to the McLarens, but Verstappen was exceptional,” confirmed Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur.

Gabriel Bortoleto, who finished a brilliant eighth today, also praised his friend and race winner at Monza: “There are no words left for what Max is doing. I’m very happy for him and he truly deserves it. He is going far beyond the clear limits of the car; what he does with that car is out of this world.” – he pointed out at the end of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.

Even over the radio at the end of the race, Gabriel Bortoleto expressed his amazement at Verstappen’s feat: “Max won? Are we crazy?”
