Former F1 driver pinpoints teammates who will crash into each other the most in 2025. Juan Pablo Montoya ‘bets’ on the Haas duo.

The Colombian ‘bets’ on the Haas duo
Compared to 2024, the driver market has significantly reshuffled the grid, with obvious repercussions on intra-team dynamics. The head-to-head battle between Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari is naturally the main headline, but there are many new rivalries set to spice up the 2025 F1 season.

When asked which pair is most likely to trigger the most intra-team incidents, former driver Juan Pablo Montoya had a clear answer, and his prediction is hardly surprising given the track record of one of the drivers involved: “If I had to say which driver pairing will crash into each other the most, I’d go with Haas’ Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman,” Montoya told CasinoApps. “Ocon starts as the lead driver, and Bearman will have the opportunity to learn from the Frenchman, but there will be clashes.” Indeed, Esteban Ocon has already had several tense rivalries with Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, and Pierre Gasly in his recent teammate battles, which doesn’t bode well for Haas’ new recruit.

Juan Pablo Montoya also believes the 2025 battles will lead to some drivers being overshadowed: “Carlos Sainz will be a big problem for Alexander Albon at Williams,” the Colombian added. “I think the Spaniard will dominate this matchup 100%. It’s a shame that Carlos Sainz’s fate seems to be helping a team grow only to have to leave it afterward. At Sauber, I believe Nico Hülkenberg will start as the team leader, but over the course of the season, Gabriel Bortoleto will take over that role.”
