The upcoming season will start earlier than usual, with pre-season testing in Barcelona scheduled for late January. As a result, teams will need to reveal their 2026 cars sooner than in previous years. According to reports, Red Bull will present its 2026 car together with Racing Bulls at an event in Detroit.
The choice of the United States is deliberate, highlighting the partnership with Ford. The historic automaker will collaborate with Red Bull Powertrains to produce the team’s power units for the next season. The launch will take place at Ford’s headquarters in the “Motor City.”
The launch date
According to GPblog, Red Bull is expected to unveil its 2026 car on January 15. On the same day, Racing Bulls will also reveal the car that will compete in the upcoming season. The event will primarily focus on showcasing the liveries, with the actual race cars set to make their track debut a few days later.
The early launch is necessary because teams will be busy with closed-door pre-season testing in Barcelona from January 26 to 30. This will be the first opportunity to run the new generation of cars on track and gather real performance data. Later, the usual Bahrain testing sessions will take place and will be broadcast to the public. This time, however, the Sakhir sessions will last six days instead of the usual three.
