F1 | Isack Hadjar will start the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix from fourth after an impressive qualifying session
After an impressive performance in qualifying, Isack Hadjar is preparing for the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix. Just hours before the lights go out, we look at the French driver’s thoughts as he gets ready to start the race from fourth position. The grid position he secured in the Netherlands represents Hadjar’s best qualifying result so far this season: he will line up alongside Max Verstappen and ahead of George Russell and both Ferrari drivers.
The VCARB driver began by reflecting on the session, highlighting the challenges of the Zandvoort circuit and the excellent feeling he had with his car. “It was probably my best lap of the year because this track demands a lot of skill. I also risked everything, especially in the final corner, which I managed very well. That allowed me to gain a tenth. It was truly special. The car felt exactly how I wanted it. Particularly in the last attempt, the handling was really good. We were also lucky with the wind direction,” Isack Hadjar commented.
As mentioned, Isack Hadjar will start from the second row, alongside Max Verstappen. What does he expect from the Dutchman? “He starts on the clean side of the track and usually gets off the line very well. If I expect anything, it’s that he might overtake one of the drivers in front of him.”
For the number 6 driver, fighting for a podium position will not be easy, so keeping an eye on those behind will be crucial. “Honestly, I don’t think overtaking an opponent here is that difficult: just look at the long straight, and the DRS zone starts quite early, so if someone is faster, they can pass. We just need to accept it and act intelligently.”
At this point, the countdown begins to 3 PM for the lights out at Zandvoort. Will Isack Hadjar be able to hold off his challengers? Follow the LIVE coverage from the Dutch Grand Prix to get all the updates on the race.
