A market leader
Aston Martin, alongside Ferrari, was one of the standout teams during the recent Formula 1 off-season. While Ferrari secured the most successful driver of all time by signing Lewis Hamilton, Lawrence Stroll’s team brought in the most decorated and respected engineer in the history of the sport: Adrian Newey. This clearly demonstrates the historic British brand’s ambition to reach the top of the category by 2026, when F1 will undergo another technical revolution.
However, Stroll hasn’t only invested in people but also heavily in infrastructure. The team’s new factory in Silverstone continues to grow daily, as Fernando Alonso himself pointed out. Recently, the team’s X account shared a satellite image of the current complex, comparing it to the starting point—a single building—in 2021, when Aston Martin replaced Racing Point. The difference is staggering.
Impressive development
The satellite images reveal that, in addition to updating and expanding the main building, two new structures have been built on either side, covering an area equivalent to five football fields (37,000 square meters). The facility now houses approximately 700 staff members and all the departments an F1 team needs to succeed. The crowning jewel is the new wind tunnel, which Lawrence Stroll envisions as key to allowing Adrian Newey to take the team to the next level in 2026.
One of the unique features visible from above is a training track next to the sprawling complex, designed in the shape of the Silverstone circuit. The iconic motorsport track is located just 800 meters from the factory’s entrance gate.
