Christian Horner is once again in the spotlight, a year after the initial controversy with the Red Bull employee. According to reports from the Dutch newspaper *De Telegraaf*, the woman has now taken the matter to the Employment Tribunal.
The hearing is reportedly set for January 2026. The only way to avoid a trial would be if both parties reach a private settlement before the scheduled date. This development effectively reopens a case that had shaken the Formula 1 world.
What had happened?
At the beginning of 2024, F1 was rocked by multiple controversies: first, the case involving Susie Wolff, accused of a conflict of interest; then, the shock announcement of Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari. In the midst of it all, the Horner case emerged when a Red Bull employee accused him of inappropriate workplace behavior.
Why was the Horner case no longer discussed?
The situation had dominated headlines when the woman allegedly made public screenshots of sexually suggestive messages exchanged with the Red Bull team principal. After days of intense media scrutiny, the matter gradually faded into the background and was almost forgotten.
Now, with the woman escalating the case to the Employment Tribunal, the issue could once again become a major talking point in the paddock. Both Christian Horner and Red Bull have reportedly been trying for months to reach a private settlement, which has yet to materialize.
Additionally, the Milton Keynes team principal had sought a restraining order against British media to prevent further coverage of the case. *De Telegraaf* also reports on this legal move, in what appears to be a controversy that could soon reignite.
