Aston Martin brings a wave of innovation to Austin with its first special livery of the season. Ahead of the 2025 Austin Grand Prix, the Silverstone-based team presented a brand-new design inspired by the world of science, created in collaboration with Aramco.
A tribute to science and engineering
The new AMR25 livery transforms the laws of physics and the formulas that govern Formula 1 into art. The car’s surfaces are covered with equations and scientific references, a way to “make visible what is usually invisible”—the engineering that allows these cars to perform at the limit.
The project aims to connect fans to science and to the values of precision, data, and ingenuity that drive the most technologically advanced sport in the world. According to the team, it is “an invitation to See the Science,” encouraging fans to explore the scientific side that makes Formula 1 so fascinating.
Presentation of the Aston Martin livery
The special livery was unveiled at Aramco’s U.S. headquarters in Houston, with Fernando Alonso and young Formula 2 driver Jak Crawford in attendance. The event celebrated not only the technical partnership between the two brands but also their shared commitment to promoting the next generation of STEM talent.

During the event, the Aramco STEM Challenge 2025 was launched. This global program targets engineering students aged 18 to 25, offering technical challenges and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the AMR Technology Campus in Silverstone.
Toward the future of sustainable Formula 1, the Aston Martin-Aramco collaboration now enters a crucial phase ahead of 2026, when Formula 1 will introduce 100% sustainable fuels. Aramco, already the exclusive low-emission fuel supplier for Formula 2, Formula 3, and F1 Academy, has worked with the team to develop the new Aramco ProForce+ fuel, compliant with FIA specifications.
Team Principal and CEO Andy Cowell explained: “This weekend marks the team’s first special livery with our title partner Aramco. Together we want to celebrate science, innovation, and the people who bring our car to life. We are excited to see it on track and to showcase the next phase of our partnership.”
Ali A. Al-Meshari, SVP Technology Oversight and Coordination at Aramco, highlighted the collaboration’s significance: “This is a historic moment to celebrate the dedication of the people at Aramco who develop innovative technologies for motorsport and the automotive industry. For over 90 years, we have combined imagination, science, and engineering to push boundaries. The partnership with Aston Martin allows us to test new fuels and materials that could revolutionize road and track transport.”
Science, curiosity, and passion
With the “See the Science” livery, Aston Martin showcases not only a new visual identity but also a philosophy. It is a tribute to those who approach Formula 1 with curiosity and an analytical mindset, to those passionate about physics, speed, and innovation. It celebrates human ingenuity, which, as Adrian Newey has noted, “must be creative for an engineering reason, to make the car faster.”
