Aston Martin first F1 team to breach budget cap, but another could face bigger risk. Aston Martin is the first Formula 1 team reported to have exceeded the budget cap.

Aston Martin
The name of the first Formula 1 team to exceed the budget cap has been revealed, and attention now turns to the second team that could be at serious risk. We had anticipated this. The delay in publishing the FIA budget cap report immediately sparked speculation about potential issues for some F1 teams, with guesses spreading quickly across social media. And it did not take long to get more information.

According to multiple sources, Aston Martin is reportedly one of the teams involved in what could become the new winter controversy. It also seems that the British team has already acknowledged responsibility for what is considered a minor infraction. Specifically, the ‘green car’ allegedly failed to sign some of the documents submitted to the FIA. For this reason, there should be no significant problems for Lawrence Stroll’s team, which is expected to resolve the matter with a simple fine.

All eyes now turn to the other team involved. But this may not be the end of the story. In addition to Aston Martin, another of the ten current teams could soon find itself facing the administrative section of the Federation. Reports suggest this team has committed an infraction of much greater significance than that of the former Racing Point.

Various sources also indicate that the team in question is denying any responsibility and may challenge the long-awaited FIA report. Undoubtedly, this will extend the timeline for any potential penalty, pushing the decision into the coming months.
