Pierre Gasly shared his excitement with the media present at the 2025 Spanish GP for a highly anticipated football event: the Champions League final, which will be played Saturday night in Munich between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan. The French driver did not hide his emotions, also revealing some behind-the-scenes plans for the evening.
During the official FIA press conference, Pierre Gasly was asked to comment on PSG’s participation in the final. He replied with his usual frankness: “Yes, they are lucky to be there. They should have lost against Aston Villa in the quarters, but let’s move on.”
Pierre Gasly and his prediction for the PSG-Inter Champions League final
An ironic but sincere statement that brought smiles to those present. Pierre Gasly then said he had considered flying to Munich to watch the final live, but in the end chose a simpler option: “I checked flights to Munich, but it’s a bit too far for the occasion. I’ll watch the match at the hotel with Isaac and some friends.” – the Alpine driver pointed out ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend in Barcelona.
Pierre Gasly’s connection to the Parisian club is deep and long-lasting: “I’ve supported them for 23-24 years. This is perhaps our best chance to win the Champions League.” The French driver concluded by recalling how important this achievement is not only for him but also for all the French people and those who work at the club: “I know some players and the president, I know how much they care. Inter has already won, PSG hasn’t yet. Hopefully, they’ll make it.” – the French driver concluded.
