Williams heads to the Dutch Grand Prix with confidence
Williams has been one of the standout teams in the first half of the 2025 Formula 1 season, establishing itself as a solid fifth force in the Constructors’ Championship. However, the Grove-based team cannot take its position for granted. The Hungarian Grand Prix did not go according to plan, and teams behind Williams, such as Aston Martin and Kick Sauber, have started to close the gap thanks to technical updates and improved performance.
Drivers Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz are therefore eager to push back the challengers with a strong showing at Zandvoort, a track where the British team has only scored points once since the circuit’s return to the F1 calendar in 2023.
Alex Albon’s outlook for Zandvoort
Alex Albon commented on the team’s preparation for the Dutch Grand Prix: “We return from the summer break rested and ready to finish the season on a positive note. Starting the second half of the championship with Zandvoort is always exciting, because it is a circuit where we have achieved good results in the past. We know the remainder of the season will not be easy, but we will give our best this weekend.”
Carlos Sainz looks forward to the weekend
Carlos Sainz added his perspective ahead of the race: “I am excited to get back on track after the summer break. Zandvoort is a fun circuit to return to, with its challenging banked corners and smooth, flowing layout. After the break, I am ready to tackle the second half of the season with renewed energy and focus, aiming for solid weekends, extracting the maximum from the car’s performance, and staying in the fight to maintain fifth place in the championship.”
With both drivers motivated and the team determined to defend its position, Williams approaches the Dutch Grand Prix confident that a strong performance at Zandvoort can solidify its standing and keep challengers at bay in the final rounds of the 2025 Formula 1 season.
