
Damon Hill has officially announced his departure from Sky Sports F1. The former F1 champion, who has been analyzing Grand Prix events for over a decade, shared the news of his exit from the British broadcaster.
The announcement was made on Hill’s personal social media accounts. “It’s been 13 fantastic years with Sky Sports F1, but all good things must come to an end. I will miss the most extraordinary group of professionals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. And I’m looking forward to taking on new challenges in F1.” – he wrote.

According to reports, the 64-year-old’s departure was not unexpected. It appears that Sky Sports had engaged in lengthy negotiations with Hill about his future before ultimately reaching the decision that was announced. The choice seems to have been Hill’s, as he opted to end the collaboration.
The former world champion is looking to take on new projects, and there is speculation that news about his next steps may emerge soon. Hill’s farewell tweet also suggests that he may continue to be involved with Formula 1 in some capacity.
Hill was one of three F1 world champions on the Sky Sports F1 expert panel, alongside 2009 champion Jenson Button and 2016 champion Nico Rosberg. Together with Martin Brundle, Karun Chandhok, and Anthony Davidson, three other F1 veterans, Hill contributed to the English broadcaster’s coverage for 13 years.
It remains to be seen what Damon Hill’s next move will be, but his departure is already making headlines.
