Sauber’s sponsor, Stake, featured on a betting site, has been investigated by the Gambling Commission following a video that went viral on social media.

The Commission announced that the site *Stake.uk.com*, operated by TGP Europe Limited, will no longer be authorized starting next month.
The Commission stated that the action was taken in response to a video promoted on the social media platform X, featuring an adult film actress.
“This action follows the launch of a Commission investigation into a widely viewed video displaying the Stake logo, distributed on a social media platform, and featuring an adult actress outside Nottingham Trent University,” the Commission said in a statement.
The Commission had already fined TGP £316,250 in 2023 for failing to promote responsible gambling and prevent money laundering.
“TGP has already been subject to regulatory action and, after a meeting with the Commission, has stated that it will immediately stop accepting new registrations on *Stake.uk.com* and remove redirect links from Stake’s main website. The complete shutdown of the UK site will take place by March 11, 2025,” the statement concluded.
