With three races to go, the first match point of the season is up for grabs. The Las Vegas Grand Prix represents the weekend where Max Verstappen could potentially secure the title.
The Dutchman has been excellent at limiting damage in races where Red Bull was behind both Ferrari and McLaren. His victory, complete with a dominant performance, at the Interlagos circuit in Brazil marked his resurgence and allowed him to extend his lead significantly over his rival, Lando Norris.
The three-time Formula 1 world champion now has a 62-point advantage over McLaren’s Lando Norris and will very likely become world champion for the fourth consecutive time as early as the Las Vegas weekend.
Max Verstappen provides an update ahead of the race
Ahead of the 22nd round of the championship, Max Verstappen took the opportunity to assess the situation at Red Bull. “In Brazil, we had a really special moment thanks to an incredible race,” said Max Verstappen. “It was great to return to the front after all the hard work the team put in. We hope we can continue to perform at that level in these last few weeks.”
“Now we just have to put in the final effort of the season, with Las Vegas kicking off the last triple-header of the year,” the Dutch driver added. “In 2024, we’ve been fast here. It’s a very fast circuit with long straights and many overtaking opportunities.” – the Red Bull man pointed out ahead of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The three-time F1 world champion has no doubts about the factor that will make the difference this weekend. “The temperatures will be very low, so tire management will be crucial for doing well. There are three races left, but we are taking it one weekend at a time.”
