Marking two decades of Toyota Racing in New Zealand, this week sees Liam Lawson step up to the F1 grid. Interestingly, Lawson’s journey to the top tier of motorsport includes a stint in the fiercely competitive 2020 Castrol Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand, where he went wheel-to-wheel with none other than Yuki Tsunoda and Franco Colapinto. Both Tsunoda and Colapinto joined Lawson in honing their skills on Kiwi soil, a testament to Toyota Racing New Zealand’s role in shaping the next generation of racing talent.
