The eve of the Chinese Grand Prix has been shaken by a significant loss for the entire paddock. Eddie Jordan, the charismatic Irish manager and founder of the eponymous team, has passed away.

Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali paid tribute to a dear friend: “We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Eddie Jordan. With his boundless energy, he always knew how to make people smile while remaining genuine and brilliant. Eddie was a key figure in a great era of F1, and he will be greatly missed. In this moment of sorrow, my thoughts and those of the entire Formula 1 family are with his family and loved ones.” – the former Ferrari team principal said.
