Rumors about Sergio Perez continue
It’s no secret that over the summer, Red Bull questioned whether to replace Sergio Perez with another of their available drivers. However, on July 30, Red Bull team principal Christian Horner informed the press of the team’s decision to continue with the experienced Mexican driver, surprising fans and insiders.
Sergio Perez, however, has not managed to stand out much since then, recording a sixth place in the Netherlands, an eighth in Italy, a tenth in the Singapore Grand Prix, and a crash in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix at the Baku City circuit while competing for a podium spot with Carlos Sainz. As a result, rumors of his possible departure resurfaced, fueled by reputable sources like Joe Saward and Roger Benoit, who mentioned persistent rumors of Sergio Perez announcing his retirement at the Mexican Grand Prix on October 27.
Sergio Perez denies
The Red Bull driver responded humorously on social media, posting a famous scene from the movie ‘The Wolf of Wall Street,’ where Leonardo DiCaprio’s character declares, “I’m not leaving.” He added a ‘Sorry’ with laughing emojis. In short, an absolutely original way to dismiss the recent media speculation.
