Red Bull goes all out for Max Verstappen: new RB21 upgrades could decide the F1 championship. Red Bull is preparing to introduce new upgrades.

Red Bull RB21, 2025 F1 car

Red Bull is preparing to introduce a fresh wave of upgrades aimed at giving Max Verstappen every possible tool to fight for the Formula 1 World Championship. With just a few races left in the season and a major regulation change on the horizon, most teams are already looking ahead to 2026. However, Red Bull remains focused on the present, and following their victory in Austin, they may unveil new upgrades to give Verstappen the edge he needs to challenge for the title.

Just a few weeks ago, this scenario seemed almost impossible. The gap with the two McLarens appeared too large to bridge. Yet now, with only five races and two Sprint events left in the championship, everything has shifted back into a state of uncertainty.

Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are currently facing difficulties, while Max Verstappen is riding a wave of momentum and experience, having already won four world championships. This experience could prove to be a decisive factor in the title battle, as the two McLaren drivers are now managing pressure of a magnitude they have never faced before.

Helmut Marko shakes up McLaren

Adding to this tension is the fact that Red Bull seems ready to deploy new upgrades designed to give Verstappen everything necessary to compete for the championship. This was revealed by Helmut Marko following the Austin weekend, where the Dutch driver claimed maximum points. Helmut Marko stated: “We still have a few aces up our sleeve. I don’t know exactly when we’ll play them. The atmosphere within our team is incredible right now, while changes are happening at McLaren. Piastri has struggled, and I hope that continues. Moreover, there are no longer any tracks where we won’t be competitive, and we have Max, who can always make the difference.”

It will now be fascinating to see if and when these upgrades are revealed, as they could become the true “game changer” in a season that has once again become anything but predictable.
